2013 Agharta Farella Cabernet Sauvignon
Farella Vineyard is located in Coombsville, in the southeastern corner of The Napa Valley, which is known for it’s cold nights and long moderate ripening season. This is the ideal place for us to source grapes that allow us to harvest, vinify and bottle a pure Cabernet Sauvignon that is fresh, concentrated and intense, that retains it’s beauty without having to be picked ultra-ripe and slathered with new oak in order to be complete.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Black fruited to the core, this cool-climate vineyard site grows some of the most expressive Cabernet Sauvignon in the Napa Valley. Concentrated and intense, this old-school styled wine is all about the soil and the fruit. Long and extremely soft fruited this is a decadent glass of wine that is not dominated by excessive alcohol or new oak, both of which are kept in check here. Chocolate and tar frame the gorgeous fruit and confirm the decadence of this one.
